March 17, 2018 - Dinner at Eight Dead by Nine

The action takes place around the head table of a banquet room where guests — and of course your audience members — are expecting a dinner theatre show. But when the guest of honor, Eleanor Van Heusen, falls face first into her plate of spaghetti, the guests are suddenly witnesses to a murder! Luckily, Inspector Bungles is there to help solve this whodunit. To say the least, Eleanor wasn’t loved by all. In fact, all her family members and even the chef have reasons to kill her. Hilarity ensues as they each reveal their own murder plans, yet all claim innocence. With plenty of room for audience interaction, Dinner at Eight, Dead by Nine will cook up the perfect evening of entertainment.

Auditions for Franklin Community Player’s upcoming production of Farce of Nature will be held February 19th & 20th (Mon/Tues) from 5:30-7:00 PM at the Lavonia cultural center (just below city hall). Farce of Nature is a southern-fried comedy set in Mayhew, Arkansas written by Jones, Hope & Wooten. The cast consists of 4 males ages 30-50 and 5 females ages 25-60. The play is being directed by veteran director Ray Stowers. He states that stage experience will be helpful, but not mandatory. The willingness and ability to follow directions is much more desired.

Auditions will consist of several cold readings as an individual and most likely with others. Attendance at both auditions is not required, although interested parties are welcome at both. Scripts will not be handed out ahead of orientation.
